Cupcake Pops

Katie and I made some preliminary Cupcake Pops and they turned out great!
We were both really happy with them!
And I think Katie is ready to make 100 of them! ;)

When Ryan got home from preschool he got to test one!

Very cute! How did you make the base turn out like that?

We used a pb cup mold...basically we made them into cupcake bites per bakerella- http://www.bakerella.com/cupcake-bites-made-easy/

You put melted chocolate in the mold, place a cake ball in the chocolate- put in the freezer to harden. Remove from freezer and pop out of the mold. Then, I took a steak knife and gently made a little hole in the bottom. Took a lolli stick dipped in white chocolate and stuck it into the base up half way through (use a toothpick to add more chocolate to fill the hole once the stick is in)...waited for it to dry. Then, dip the top into blue chocolate.

They actually were pretty solid! We were afraid they would fall off the stick, but use the chocolate like glue to make the stick nice and firm!
